Who's behind the AI

Real person. Real infrastructure. Real deployments.

AI is only as trustworthy as the people running it. Here's who's running this.

Matt Pearce, founder of AI4SMB

Matt Pearce

Founder, AI4SMB · Operator, PearceIT

I've spent 30 years in IT. I run PearceIT, a managed services provider — which means I've spent decades doing the unglamorous work behind the demos: deploying and operating business phone systems, keeping infrastructure monitored and backed up, and being the person a business calls when something breaks at 4pm on a Friday.

That background is the whole point of AI4SMB. A lot of AI receptionists are built by people who have never run a PBX. They hand you a new number and a widget and wish you luck. I integrate AI into the phone system you already run, because I've been running phone systems the whole time.

Why a separate brand

PearceIT is managed IT services. AI4SMB is practical AI for small business — a distinct brand, same face. If you already work with PearceIT, this is the AI arm. If you found AI4SMB first, PearceIT is the 30 years of operations standing behind it.

The honesty rules

I don't market capabilities I haven't shipped. The AI receptionist is sold as a founding pilot — a small number of spots at a discounted rate — while the Australian-voice stack is validated in production. Work that PearceIT delivered is attributed to me, truthfully, not dressed up as something AI4SMB has done at scale. If you catch me overstating something, tell me.

And yes — the AI built this site

This website is demo unit #1. An AI built it, launched it, and maintains it, supervised by me. I'm publishing the ranking data — from zero authority to wherever it lands — at day 30, 60 and 90, win or lose. If you want to see whether the thing works before you buy it, that's the whole idea.
